The river banks are beautiful…relax, picnic, swim, fish, canoe ( Castelnaud has its own kayak/canoe club) or take a river trip and view the stunning sights “ first hand”.

Sarlat….known as “ The Jewel” of the Dordogne….a remarkable town full of history, culture and fantastic shops. In the evening …enjoy a sumptuous meal at one of the numerous excellent restaurants lining the narrow cobbled streets lit by gas lights and be entertained by musicians, jugglers, acrobats and fire eaters !!!!

There are many medieval towns close by that are a definite “must” to visit….

Beynac, Cenac, Domme, Gourdon, St Cyprien La Roque Gageac, Rocamadour …also Grolejac boasts a lake with beach for those interested in water sports……..….the list is endless.
